  • AMES BROTHERS (45 rpm) The Naughty Lady of Shady Lane/Addio, RCA 47-5897, 1954 (G)

There is only 1 item left in stock.

Here are The Ames Brothers with The Naughty Lady of Shady Lane/Addio on RCA Victor 47-5897.  Says New Orthophonic High Fidelity on label.  The orchestra behind them is Hugo Winterhalter and his Orchestra.  Cute song in that it ends them saying about the lady of Schady Lane as being only nine days old!  So a tune about a new baby!

Quick review: Label has some white fading around the edges.  Vinyl has lots of light surface scratches all around.  There was a light constant crackling sound during playback on my turntable, but you can hear the vocals no problem.  If I put more bass on it rather than treble, the fuzz does disappear a tiny bit.  No skips. And it's an old record being from 1954!  Flip side has those crackles throughout, too.
