  • CAPTAIN & TENNILLE, LP, "Song of Joy" (A&M SP-4570) 1976 (EX)

There is only 1 item left in stock.

Here is Captain & Tennille's album entitled "Song of Joy" from 1976.  On A&M SP-4570.  They were one of the most popular pop duos in their time.  They met each other back in 1971 and then became a  husband and wife team creating hits and their debut song was "Love Will Keep Us Together" (not on this LP).  Captain (Daryl) was actually playing keyboards with The Beach Boys back in the late '60s, too.

Side 1:  Song of Joy; Lonely Night (Angel Face); Mind Your Love; Smile For Me One More Time; Shop Around; Going Bananas.
Side 2:  Butterscotch Castle; Muskrat Love; Thank You, Baby Wedding Song (There is Love); 1954 Boogie Blues.

Album cover is in great shape for being 39 years old.  It's a gatefold cover. Front cover only has some light wrinkles at the bottom seam and the side seam and the same for the back cover.  Good coloring, no fading or ringwear showing.  A little bit of wear at the corner.  The inside cover sleeve (I did not attach a picture as I forgot) is in great condition, too.  Two color photos of them individually on both sides.  The label is in perfect shape.  The vinyl has only about 3-4 light surface scratches, but Side 2 does has some light scuffing, also, but it did not affect the sound quality. Saw this only when I put it under the bright lamp.  Sound quality was great!  No skips, pops, or crackles.

I rate the cover as Excellent (EX) and the Vinyl as Excellent (EX) also!
