  • HAMPTON, LIONEL & His Big Orchestra, Spotlight On, DLP-157, 1962, Stereo Spectrum

There is only 1 item left in stock.

Here is Lionel Hampton with his album Spotlight On under the Stereo Spectrum Records label (Pickwick International) in what is called In AuthentiPhonic - Stereo Process.  Label shows it as SDLP-157, outside cover shows DLP-157.  Came out in 1962.  It's instrumental with the exception of a song or two or three with light vocal noises or screams coming out!  All sounding like cool jazz.

Cover is in great shape as it still has the shrinkwrap on it, but opened at the right seam to let the LP out.  There was a sticker of some sort that was removed at the upper right side.  No ringwear either side.  Back side is great, too.  The vinyl does have a lot of light surface scratches on both sides.  But no skips or pops.  There is a very light general surface noise in the form of the super light 'crackle' that lets you know it's vinyl but doesn't affect the general performance of the music.

I rate the cover as Excellent (EX) or closer to NM.  I rate the vinyl as Very Good Plus (VG+) as of the light surface crackles in between tunes and quieter areas.  I will ship in LP mailer carton with bubblewrap and inserts for protection.
