John Gary, Encore LP, RCA Victor LSP-2804 Stereo.  1964.  This smooth American singer started out singing at a very young age and was popular in the 60s and stayed on for a couple of decades.  He passed away on Jan 4, 1998.  He was also a recording artist, television host, and performer and the musical stage.  He was considered by many to be one of the most talented of popular singers because of his fantastic breath control and tonal quality of his voice.  He had a wide range of octaves.  He was nominated for a Grammy in 1964 for Best New Artist (but didn't win it).

For 1964, the cover sleeve is in good shape as the owner took pretty good care of her records.  There is a little wear to the open seam side area--just a tiny cut into the side and there is just a little wear to the 4 corners.  There is what I would call a wrinkle streak on the cover, upper middle area, just 2 inches in length.  Very little ringwear starting.  Back cover has one little wrinkle on left bottom corner and a little ringwear starting near the top left.  The label is in good shape, just a very few spindle marks there.  Copy of inner sleeve is included here, too.

The vinyl does has an average amount of light surface scratches that you can't feel.   The sound quality was excellent as the light scratches are too light to cause any lack of sound quality.  It sounds like new, but under a bright lamp, you can see the scratches (2 long ones and the rest are shorter hairline ones).

I rate the cover sleeve as Very Good Plus Plus (VG++) and close to Excellent, and the vinyl as Excellent for sound quality, but for physical look a Very Good Plus (VG+).
