    Here is Machito and His Orchestra doing Irving Berlin tunes in Latin America.  From 1959.  Matrix:  TRLP1062-A 4-18-59.  On Forum Label F-9040.

    This is a heavier weight LP than usual.  Then again, it's old!  I shall repeat what it says about the LP on the back cover in my own words.  "Machito has framed Berlin's tunes in a pulsating, rhythmic Latin dance pattern, along with the full orchestral sound of the Machito band.  He puts a cha cha beat to "Always" or a fast cha cha zing to "I've Got My Love To Keep Me Warm."  It's not all wild and frantic cha cha rhythms, some classical sounds as well.""

    Side 1:  Always; I've Got My Love To Keep Me Warm; Slumming on Park Avenue; How Deep Is the Ocean, How High Is the Sky; Heat Wave; Let's Face the Music.
    Side 2:  Marie; You'd Be Surprised; Be Careful It's My Heart; Blue Skies; They Say It's Wonderful; Cuba.

    The cover does have an open bottom seam the full length and 1/3 open at the top seam.  There are whitish fade spots on the front cover starting and more on the bottom seam.  There are dark tan fade spots on the back cover as ringwear.  The label is in great shape.  The vinyl for sound quality is great!  There are a lot of very light surface scratches on it and a couple of scuffs, but they don't affect the sound quality.  No skips or pops.

    I rate the cover as Good Plus (G+) because of the open seams and ringwear fade marks.  The vinyl sounds great, so I give it a Very Good Plus (VG+), along with the light surface scratches that don't affect the sound quality.   P { margin-bottom: 0.08in; }
