Here is a 1966 red vinyl LP of a compilation of several bands making the "What's Shakin'" LP. It includes songs by Lovin' Spoonful, Paul Butterfield Blues Band, Al Kooper, Tom Rush, and Eric Clapton and the Powerhouse. This is on the Taiwan label named Large World LW-185. Matrix reads: 9247 LW-185A EKL 4002A. Large World Records is a label from Taiwan, who put this together for US and Australian soldiers who were stationed there. At the time they were legal pressings, not intended for export. So this was not exported, but came back with a US person who bought it from there. (The original LP was under Elektra for the rest of the world.)
The cover is in a plastic cover. Opened at the side to let the LP out. Couple of pictures showing where there is clear tape on the plastic cover where it may have been torn a bit. There is a 4" tear at the top right corner of the cover along with the plastic over it. That section was not retaped like a couple of the other areas.
Side 1 has a couple of long surface scratches on it, but did not affect the sound quality at all. And only a few on Side 2. Because it is red vinyl, it was hard to see them. No skips, pops, or crackles. I did hear some minor light tics that are in the grooves in between the songs. I was surprised to hear how good it sounded considering it was from 1966!
I rate the cover at only Very Good (VG) due to some tape covering some tears. But the LP itself I give it a Very Good Plus (VG+) to Excellent (EX) due to sound quality.
Shipping within USA should be $4.16 now since they increased postage rates in July of 2022. If buying 2 or more LPs, and you are being charged separately for each one, I can repay you the difference for shipping via Paypal since I can combine them in one LP mailing box for the same postage cost.
