is a 12" LP (33 rpm) by Jesse Colin Young entitled AMERICAN DREAMS.
From 1978. On Elektra 6E-157. Matrix reads 6E-157 A -ST KENDUN-B JG.
You can see the song list in the photos. He used to be with the
Youngbloods back in the '60s. This year he is 78 yrs old (as of 2019)! Holy
Front cover has some white scratches and fade marks at the very top middle and a little at the bottom middle. Then some general light scratches across the cover front and back. Zoom in on the cover photos to see this. Not too major. Side seam has a lot of wrinkles in it, but no tears on the cover. Looks like someone's name was written up at the upper right hand corner of the front cover (Dwyer). Inside sleeve has all the words to the songs and one side has a piece of masking tape at the top.
I played it through on my Technics turntable. Nice LP! Nice songs! Great voice. I remember that cool song (not on this LP) called "Darkness Darkness" that he sang. I wouldn't put this in a folk genre, but more of a pop genre. There are only a few light surface scratches and scuffs on both sides, none of which caused any problems. No skips, no pops! Very few surface crackles. There were some, but nothing to detract from the sound quality.
I rate the cover sleeve as Very Good Plus (VG+) to Very Good (VG) due to the light scratches and white marks and small amount of ringwear. The vinyl gets between VG+ and EXCELLENT. Quality sound is on the Excellent side.
